The program at Cast for Kids Child Care Centre recognizes that each child is an individual with a unique pattern of interests, capabilities and aspirations. These qualities shall be nurtured in a healthy and safe environment in which the child can develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. Each child’s sense of autonomy, self esteem and self-discipline shall be facilitated in our warm and caring environment.

At Cast for Kids Child Care Centre, we strive to create a supportive family atmosphere in which the program is an extension of both the home/school community.

Our program is designed to:

• Provide a warm, receptive and stimulating environment
• Encourage the development of a positive self-concept within each child and a positive concept of family and community,
• Provide opportunity for the children to develop positive self esteem, language enrichment and experiences that promote knowledge and understanding of their environment and the world around them,
• Provide a safe environment for all children at all times,
• Provide co-ordination between child care and classroom programs,
• Provide opportunities for family involvement
• Provide opportunities for the children to learn and play together and to share with others,
• Provide opportunities to regularly assess the effectiveness, appropriateness and efficiencies of the program organization, activities and routines,
• Provide a safe environment for all children at all times,
• Provide a wide variety of activities throughout the day: Crafts, indoor and outdoor play, music, stories, and real life field trip experiences,
• Provide co-ordination between child care and classroom programs as stated bythe Day Nurseries Act/Education in the Primary and Junior Divisions,
• Provide a program that addresses all cultures and people differences and similarities through an anti-bias approach.
